| Dr. Dave Anapolle,
MD |
| Dave did
his undergrad work at Cornell University and then earned his MD
from UMDNJ. He completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at Seton
Hall University. He then went on to a Sports Medicine fellowship
at the Orthopedic Specialty Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. There
Dave had the opportunity to work with professional athletes and
the US Ski Team. He presently is a partner at Pace Orthopedics &
Sports Medicine in Somers Point. Dave is an orthopedic consultant
with our athletic program and returns for his third year as a presenter
at our symposium. He has 4 publications to his credit and over 10
previous presentations. |
| Dayle Federico, PT |
| Dayle obtained her bachelors
degree in physical therapy from Stockton. She has been with the
Bacharach Institute of Rehabilitation since 1996 as a physical therapist
and the Spinal Cord Injury Program Coordinator. Dayle has presented
numerous times on topics relating to spinal cord injuries in a variety
of forums. |
| Jon Heck MS, ATC |
| Jon has been the Coordinator of Athletic Training at Stockton
since 1991. He obtained his athletic training credentials fromWilliam
Paterson Univeristy where he also minored in Literature. He then
obtained his master's degree from the University of Florida. Jon
is an Associate Editor for Sports Medicine Update and was
also an editor for Current Concepts in Sports Medicine for
a few years in the mid 90's. He has authored 14 articles, most of
which are available here. He has presented
in several forums including the International Symposium on Head
and Neck Injuries in Sports in Atlanta, Georgia. |
| Dr. John Salvo, MD |
| John is the Associate Director of Sportsmedicine at MCP Hahnemmann
University and also an Assistant Professor in their Department of
Orthopedic Surgery. He did his undergrad work at Villanova and obtained
his MD from Jefferson Medical College. His fellowships included
work with the University of Miami, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Florida
International Univ. He has 3 publications to his credit and several
more articles in the pipeline. John has presented at 6 other sports
medicine forums. He is also the team physician for Drexel University,
Roman Catholic & St. Joseph's Prep High Schools. John was awarded
the Milton A Wohl Teaching Award in 1999. |
| Dr. Brian Sennett,
MD |
| Brian received his bachelors
degree from Brown University where he was an All-Ivy League baseball
player. He earned his MD from the University of Pennsylvania.
He is now the Chief of Sports Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania
Hospital. Prior to that he was an Associate Director at the
Joe Torg Center for Sports Medicine. Brian is an Associate
Professor in the Dept. of Orthopedics at the University of Pennsylvania
Hospital. He did his fellowships in the hand and upper extremity
at the Univ of Mississippi Medical Center and the Univ of Pennslylvania.
Brian has presented at over 15 sports medicine forums. He
is returning for his second year at our symposium. He has over 21
publications to his credit, including much of the landmark work
on spearing in football. Philadelphia Magazine placed him
in the "Top Doctors in Philadelphia" in 1996-99. |
| Barb Whedon, MS, RD |
| Barb obtained her undergrad
degree in nutrition from Penn State University and then went on
to the University of Kansas for her Master's. She also did her Clinical
Internship with the JayHawks in Kansas. Barb is currently an Nutrition
Educator and Counselor for Thomas Jefferson University Hospital
in Philadelphia. This spring she worked as a nutrition consultant
to the Philadelphia Phillies during their spring training in Florida.
She teaches at both TJU and the Jefferson Medical College. She has
over 10 presentations at seminars and meetings to her credit. Barb
is also a past recipient of the American Dietetic Association "Recognized
Young Dietitian of the Year Award." |
| Dr. Steve Zabinski,
MD |
| Steve did his undergrad work at Brooklyn College and obtained
is MD credentials from Columbia University. He has been in private
practice with Shore Orthopaedic University Associates in Somers
Point since 1996. His residency was with the Hospital for Special
Surgery in NY where he worked with The NY Mets and the NY Giants.
He is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Jefferson University
Hospital and the Hospital for Special Surgery. Steve is a consulting
orthopedist with Stockton and is also associated with the AC Seagulls
and the AC Surf. He has authored 12 research articles. Steve is
returning for his second year as a speaker for our symposium and
has done over 10 other presentations in his history. |
