| Bean Tears ACL will miss 2007
Season
Samantha
Bean tore the ACL of her left knee during soccer practice on 8/28/07.
It was a non contact injury that occurred to her plant leg while
kicking. Sam was evaluated and treated in the athletic training
room and an ACL injury was suspected. This was confirmed when
he saw her orthopedist later that day. Sam will be getting an
MRI next week to confirm the ACL injury and also to rule out an
injury to her medial meniscus. The loss of the sophomore forward
will be heavily felt for the soccer team. Bean was tied for the
team lead in goals last year and led the team in assists. She
also played in all 23 games for the Ospreys in 2006 and was named
"NJAC Rookie of the Week" twice. She will complete rehab
2-3 days per week until her surgery to regain as much motion and
strength as possible.
