The results of this survey are unpublished but
were used in a presentation I did at the NATA/AFCA Spearing
Task Force Meeting that took place during the AFCA National
Convention in Louisville Kentucky on 1/11/05. One of the goals
of the meeting was to improve the enforcement level of helmet-contact
penalties in college football.
Through the assistance of Ron Courson, ATC, PT, the Director
of Sports Medicine at the University of Georgia, an Email/
Internet survey was designed and sent to the Football Officials
of the SEC, ACC, Big East, Big 10, Big 12, and PAC 10 Conferences.
205 officials participated in the survey. |
