  MATT HUNT NAMED NJCBA ROOKIE PITCHER OF THE WEEK    
  On Tuesday, Stockton lefty hurler Matt Hunt (Marlton/ St. Joseph) was named the NJCBA Rookie Pitcher of the Week by the New Jersey Collegiate Baseball Association. In his only appearance on the mound last week, Hunt earned the win in an 8-1 victory over Rutgers-Camden on April 6. He pitched the first six innings of the game, allowing one run on three hits with five strikeouts.

With the victory, Hunt improved to 2-0 with a 1.93 ERA that ranks third in the NJAC. He has pitched 23.1 innings and struck out 18 batters on the season. Hunt also is the starting first baseman for the Ospreys when he is not on the mound. Offensively, Hunt is batting .313 with one triple, three stolen bases, 12 runs and eight RBI.
