JON GREENE NAMED NJAC MEN’S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Richard Stockton junior forward Jon Greene (Wildwood/Wildwood) was named the NJAC Men’s Basketball Player of the Week today. Greene averaged a double-double of 19.0 points and 11.0 rebounds as 11-5 Stockton extended its winning streak to six with two conference victories last week. Greene shot 74 percent (17-23) from the field and 4-5 (80%) at the free throw line in the two games.

Greene scored a career-high 23 points and grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds in Stockton’s 66-57 win over College of New Jersey for his sixth double-double of the year. On Saturday, Greene was a perfect 7-7 from the field and 1-1 at the line while totaling 15 points and nine boards as the Ospreys topped Kean 91-82.

Greene ranks third in the NJAC in rebounds (9.2 rpg) and field goal percentage (.569). He is averaging 12.2 points per game, and he leads the Ospreys with 10 blocked shots. A junior, Greene is one of just two Stockton players who have started all 16 games thus far. Stockton will host Lincoln University in a non-conference game on Wednesday, January 17 at 7 pm.
