MARIO LANCIONI NAMED TO NABC ATLANTIC DISTRICT
SECOND TEAM

Richard Stockton junior guard Mario Lancioni (Runnemede/Triton) was named to the NABC Atlantic Region Second Team. The squad was announced yesterday by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC). Lancioni averaged 13.1 points, a team-high 4.0 assists and 2.6 rebounds for the Ospreys, who posted a 19-10 overall record.

Lancioni was the only Stockton player to start all 29 games during the season. He finished second in the NJAC in assists (4.0 apg), fourth in three-point field goal percentage (.368), and ninth in free throw percentage (.753) and three-pointers (1.59/game). Lancioni was Stockton’s leading scorer in seven games, including a season-high 25 points in a 68-57 win over Gwynedd-Mercy on January 3.

Lancioni, a three-year starter for the Ospreys, was named to the NJAC All-Conference Second Team at the conclusion of the season. He also was selected as the NJAC Player of the Week on January 7. Lancioni has scored 902 points in three seasons at Stockton and he should crack the 1,000-point plateau as a senior next year.
