SEAN McCALLUM NAMED NJAC ROOKIE OF THE YEAR
Six Players Named NJAC Men’s Soccer All-Conference

Sean McCallum
Brian Klein
Eric Lewis
Domenick Raimo
Brad Wescott
Matt Hart

Richard Stockton freshman Sean McCallum (Vineland/Vineland) headlines a list of six Stockton men’s soccer players who earned NJAC All-Conference honors. McCallum was named the NJAC Rookie of the Year and voted to the NJAC All-Conference Second Team.

Senior Brian Klein (Ocean Twp./Ocean Twp.) was selected to the NJAC First Team while juniors Eric Lewis (Dover, DE/Caesar Rodney) and Domenick Raimo (Delran/Delan) joined McCallum on the NJAC Second Team. Senior Brad Wescott (Newfield/ Buena) and sophomore Matt Hart (Dayton/South Brunswick) earned NJAC Honorable Mention nods.

Klein was elevated to the NJAC First Team in 2006 after garnering NJAC Honorable Mention status last year. As Stockton’s top back, he anchors a defense that ranks second in the league with a 0.68 goals against average. Offensively, Klein has tallied two goals, including one game-winner, and an assist for five points.

McCallum burst onto the scene at the beginning of the season by scoring a goal in each of his first three college games. He currently is tied for the team lead with six goals, tied for second with five assists and second on the Ospreys with 17 points. McCallum is the fifth Stockton men’s soccer player to win the NJAC Rookie of the Year award.

Lewis and Raimo both are repeat NJAC all-conference selections. Lewis moved up to the NJAC Second Team after previously receiving honorable mention status in 2004. Raimo was named to the NJAC Second Team for the second consecutive time. Lewis and Raimo are tied with McCallum for the team lead with six goals apiece, and both players also have two assists for 14 points.

Wescott and Hart each collected NJAC all-conference honors for the first time. Wescott, a reliable and steady midfielder, is one of just five Ospreys to play in all 20 games thus far. He has registered one goal and four assists for six points. Goalkeeper Hart has backstopped the Stockton defense with 70 saves in 17 games. Hart ranks second in the NJAC with seven shutouts and third with a 0.80 goals against average.
