Three Richard Stockton women’s tennis players were named to the NJAC All-Conference Team, which was announced today by the league office. Senior Kristin Tukel (Morris Plains/Morristown) was voted to the NJAC All-Conference Team in both singles and doubles. Senior Kelly Chin (Clark/Colonia) earned NJAC All-Conference honors in singles while sophomore Christa Phillips (Tinton Falls/ Monmouth), Tukel’s partner, was an NJAC All-Conference doubles selection.

Tukel received NJAC All-Conference kudos in doubles for the third consecutive year and singles for the second time in a row. She played first singles for the Ospreys and compiled an 11-4 record, including a 7-2 mark in dual matches. Tukel also finished as the runner-up in the A Flight at the 2006 NJAIAW Championships. She ended her career with a 42-18 singles record.

Tukel and Phillips were voted to the NJAC All-Conference team as a doubles pair for the second straight year. They played the first doubles position and went 4-1 in NJAC matches as well as 6-5 overall this season. In their two years as Stockton’s top tandem, Tukel and Phillips notched a 15-8 record.

Chin earned her first NJAC All-Conference honor after a solid senior year. Playing mostly second singles for the Ospreys, she posted a 6-3 overall record that encompassed a 4-1 mark against NJAC opponents. Chin finished her career at Stockton with a 31-14 record in singles matches.
