Richard Stockton indoor track & field student athletes received three NJAC weekly awards today for their performances in the Collegiate Track Conference (CTC) Championships over the weekend. Senior Lisa Chatman (Voorhees/Eastern) was named the NJAC Women’s Field Athlete of the Week and senior Augie Siciliano (Toms River/TR East) was chosen as the NJAC Men’s Field Athlete of the Week. Freshman Lisa Shepherd (Mays Landing/Oakcrest) was selected as the NJAC Women’s Rookie of the Week.

Chatman won the pentathlon with a total of 3,282 points in the five events. Within the pentathlon competition, Chatman won the high jump (5’2.25”), shot put (34’2.25”) and 800-meter run (2:27.93). In addition to her victory in the pentathlon, Chatman also finished fifth overall in the shot put (36’9”) and sixth in the 55-meter hurdles (9.11 seconds). She was named the NJAC Field Athlete of the Week for the second time this season.

Siciliano earned his first NJAC weekly honor by winning the weight throw at the CTC Championships. He registered a distance of 46’11” that was 15 inches farther than the second-place finisher. Siciliano and his brother Anthony, who also competes in the weight events for Stockton, each have been named the NJAC Field Athlete of the Week once this season.

Shepherd received her second NJAC rookie award of the season by placing third out of 18 participants in the high jump at the CTC meet. She cleared a height of 5’3.25” that was just a half-inch short of her personal best jump this season. Shepherd previously was named the NJAC Women’s Rookie of the Week on December 4.
