  AUDRA SCHAPPELL AND ANTHONY SICILIANO RECEIVE NJAC TRACK & FIELD WEEKLY HONORS

Richard Stockton student-athletes earned two NJAC track & field weekly honors for their efforts over the weekend. Senior Audra Schappell (Mullica Hill/ Clearview) was named the NJAC Women’s Field Athlete of the Week and senior Anthony Siciliano (Toms River/Toms River East) was selected as the NJAC Men’s Field Athlete of the Week today.

Schappell and Siciliano competed in the weight events for Stockton at the Seton Hall Games yesterday. Schappell won the shot put with a toss of 40’7.75” and she also placed fourth in the weight throw at a distance of 42’3.50” for the Ospreys. On the men’s side, Siciliano finished second in the shot put with a best effort of 46’5.50” and he placed third in the weight throw at 44’3.50”.

Schappell has earned NJAC all-conference indoor track & field honors twice each in the shot put and weight throw. Outdoors, Schappell is a 2006 All-American and two-time NJAC champion in the discus. Siciliano is a three-time NJAC all-conference outdoor track & field performer, collecting kudos for the shot put, discus and javelin during his career.
