Richard Stockton freshman Lisa Shepherd (Mays Landing/Oakcrest) was named the NJAC Women’s Track & Field Rookie of the Week today. Shepherd earned the honor for the second consecutive week and third time this season. Shepherd won the high jump at the NJAC Championships in Toms River yesterday by clearing a height of 5’4.25” (1.63m).

Shepherd defeated eight competitors in the high jump at the NJAC meet and topped the second-place finisher by two inches. She registered her first career event victory after two runner-up finishes in the high jump earlier this season. Shepherd previously was named the NJAC Women’s Rookie of the Week on December 4 and February 12.
