Stockton freshman forward Samantha Bean (Manchester/Manchester Twp.)
was named the NJAC Women’s Soccer Rookie of the Week today. Bean
earned the award, her first career NJAC weekly honor, by scoring two goals
and two assists for six points in three Stockton victories last week.
Bean netted the game-winning goal in the second half of a 1-0 win over Rutgers-Camden on October 23. Two days later, she tallied a goal and two assists in a 3-1 triumph over Rutgers-Newark. Overall, Bean played a role in four of the five goals that the Ospreys scored last week. Bean has played in all 21 games and started 19 matches during her rookie year. She ranks second on the team in scoring with 14 points. Bean leads the Ospreys with four assists and she is tied for second on the team with five goals, two of which have been game-winners. Stockton (15-4-2) will travel to Montclair State for an NJAC tournament semifinal match on Wednesday at 7:30 pm. |
