  Women's Rowing

The Stockton women’s rowing team competed in five regattas during the 2007 season. The unit of Tarin Stauffer, Gretchen Van Duyne, Nicole Price, Emileah Switzer and coxswain Lynn Cassidy was Stockton’s entry in the women’s novice four. The Ospreys began the season in Virginia at the Occoquan Sprints and next competed closer to home at the Knecht Cup in Camden, where they placed second in their heat and then third in the petite final.

Two weeks later, the Ospreys finished third at the Mid-Atlantic Division III Championships and Tarin Stauffer received All-Region Novice recognition. At the Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Championships, Stockton posted the fifth-fastest time out of 13 entrants in the heats and advanced to the final, where the Ospreys finished fifth.

Stockton concluded the 2007 season at the famous Dad Vail Regatta in Philadelphia, the largest collegiate regatta in the United States. Competing against Division I competition, the Ospreys placed third in their heat of the frosh/novice four. Stockton did not have any seniors on the roster, and the squad should continue to develop in the future.

Stockton also offers men's rowing as a club sport since the NCAA does not sponsor intercollegiate men's rowing. The Stockton men's rowing team is coached by Tom Hewitt and has the same schedule as the Stockton women's rowing team.
