NJ Task Force on Child Abuse and Neglect - 2022 Skill Building Conference

NJ Task Force on Child Abuse and Neglect 2025 Conference

October 21, 2025

9:30am — 3:30pm

Doors Open at 8:00am

Location: Hilton East Brunswick

3 Tower Center Blvd, East Brunswick, NJ

Join us October 21, 2025, from 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM at the Hilton East Brunswick for a day of connection, growth, and hope, as we explore ways to strengthen our own personal resilience and improve the healing potential of the communities in which we all live!

Hosted by the New Jersey Task Force on Child Abuse and Neglect, the NJ Department of Children and Families and the Child Welfare Education Institute at Stockton University, “Connecting Communities, Rooted in Resilience” is a day-long conference during which we’ll hear from national and state experts who are championing resilient communities, who are promoting collective impact strategies, and who are addressing the social determinants of health and wellbeing, to help families cut through the noise and stress and connect with each other, and with community resources.

Working in the social services sector and the child welfare arena in particular, we know that stressful and challenging times can destabilize families and disrupt their nurturing potential. When times are difficult, that’s when we need families to be at their most resilient, and we need programming and strategies that empower and uplift, while connecting families to supports in-community—whether that support comes from other families, or public and private resources.

As helping professionals who live in these same communities, we are not immune to the same stress and fear that uncertainty can bring. In order to be effective for the families we serve, we need tools and strategies to support personal growth. The conference will offer two national speakers who will uplift and provide practical tools and advice for building a resilience toolkit.

We look forward to seeing you there and can’t wait to connect!
