The purpose of the laboratory course is two fold. First, you will experience measuring, monitoring and analyzing weather, soils, floral and hydrologic parameters that characterize and effect the environment. Second, you will learn 1.) field techniques, 2.) map & atlas analysis techniques, 3.) remote sensing techniques, including GSP (Global Positioning Systems) and continuous, remote sensing devises and 4.) mathematical application to environmental monitoring, 5.) computer analysis techniques, including the use of Spreadsheets and GIS (Geographic Information Systems).
