Graduates of the Social Work Program receive the Bachelor of Science degree. Stockton College requires completion of a minimum of 128 credits for graduation. For the B.S. degree, a minimum of 80 credits must be earned in program studies and cognate courses. Thirty-two credits must be from General Studies. The 16 remaining credit hours may either be in General Studies or in programs that are considered at some distance from the major. Transfer students are given credits for appropriate work done at other accredited institutions.

Social Work majors must complete a combination of entry-level and upper-level social and behavioral sciences courses. With respect to the Social Work program, social work courses must be completed by all majors; this includes the senior seminar in social work practice and the concurrent fieldwork of 400 hours in an approved social work agency or program.

Graduation with Distinction: A Bachelor of Science degree with distinction in social work will be awarded to those students who achieve 70% A grades in all Stockton program and cognate courses and successfully complete the senior fieldwork placement.
