Curriculum

The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) and Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degrees require a common core of 19 credits in introductory and intermediate level courses and four credits in an advanced-level independent study or internship. To earn a B.S., students must take 16 more program and cognate credits* than those earning a B.A. degree. To earn a B.A., 16 more credits at some distance from the major are required than for a B.S. To graduate, a student must have at least 128 credits.

* Program courses are those with an ENVL acronym. Cognate courses include those in geology, biology, math, chemistry, marine science, and physics, as well as any course approved by the student's preceptor.
