Summer Youth Rowing Program

The Summer Youth Rowing Program at Stockton University provides a free summer enrichment opportunity for diverse and underserved Atlantic County middle school students.

As a team-oriented sport, rowing teaches skills that participants can use throughout their lives: rowing helps participants to develop leadership skills; enhance their safety and wellness; develop confidence; and undergo personal growth.

The five-week camp emphasizes not only athletic development and teamwork, but also demonstrates the importance of exercise and nutrition, introduces novice rowers to the sport of rowing, and provides an overview on safety and the maintenance, storage and care of equipment.
