Applying for Conditional Admission

Step 1

Review the program profile listing for your graduate program of interest to determine whether or not the qualifications you possess make you a viable candidate for conditional admission.

Please note: Admission to Stockton's Graduate School is highly competitive. Meeting or exceeding minimum requirements specified in the Graduate Academic Profile in no way guarantees admission to the program with a CLA.

Step 2

Submit the ELS Application for graduate admission via the ELS University Guide Online.

Step 3

You may submit a standardized exam score (GRE, GMAT, or MAT) upon completion of ELS Level 112. Use school code 2889 when requesting scores to be sent to Stockton. Exam scores are NOT required for applications being considered for conditional admission.

Step 4

You may check the status of your application by logging into your ELS University Guide Online portal.

Step 5

If you are selected for admission, and official conditional letter of admission will be sent to you via ELS. If the academic department to which you have been admitted indicated additional requirements must be met prior to matriculation at the University (example: Presenting acceptable scores on the GRE, GMAT or prerequisite course requirements), these will be specified on the conditional letter of admission.

After Receiving Conditional Admission

Step 1

Comply with any additional conditions imposed by the academic department prior to matriculation at Stockton. It is the student's responsibility to meet all conditions pursuant to the CLA. For example, if the academic department requires the student to take and post an acceptable score on the GRE prior to matriculating into the University, the student must prepare for the exam while concurrently enrolled in ELS' program and take the exam in a timely manner and request an official score report be released from ETS to Stockton's Graduate School (code 2889).

Step 2

Following successful completion of ELS' level 112, you must request ELS to send an official transcript verifying completion of level 112 to the Stockton University Graduate Admissions Office.

Step 3

Upon verification of compliance with the conditions of admission, Graduate Admissions will issue you a "full admission" letter and mail it to your current address.

Step 4

Upon your request, ELS will transfer your SEVIS record to Stockton.

Step 5

Stockton will issue an I-20 to you once your SEVIS record has been transferred and released to Stockton. Questions regarding transferring SEVIS records to Stockton and I-20 issuance should be directed to the Office of Graduate Admissions at gradschool@stockton.edu.
