Executive Summary of Activities

  1. Established IPE website to increase communication about and visibility of Stockton faculty and student involvement in IPE activities. Reports at School of Health Sciences meetings
  2. Mentor new chair of IPE committee
  3. 2020 Proposal submitted; Pilot funds awarded
  4. Common Reading: Until Tuesday – campus wide event to hear author Captain Luis Montalvan:  planned for November 2017, author arrived at Seaview – speaking engagements to Stockton community canceled the day of the event due to medical reasons; unable to reschedule due to author’s tragic death a short time afterwards
  5. Training TES person with designated 1 day / week IPE activities: meeting minutes, support for Bootcamp, Baby Lab registration & data entry, Intergenerational Event handouts, data entry
  6. Purchase of laptop, software, and travel drives for data collection and management for IPE initiatives
  7. IPE Bootcamp – January 11, 2017: 28 faculty from MSOT, DPT, MSCD, BSHS, EXSC, NURS, SOWK, PSYC (25 SHS, 3 SOBL).  Bootcamp provided an opportunity for networking with colleagues to create & develop new curricular, extra-curricular, and community / professional development opportunities through small group discussion and planning.  Resulted in 2 new events during Spring 2017 semester. (items 8 & 9)
  8. Combined student club activity
  9. Intergenerational IPE Event – co-sponsored with SCOSA on April 8, 2017 “Listening, Lunching, and Learning”; collaborated with partners in SHS, SCOSA, SOBL, EDUC. Attended by students from following majors:  HLSC, PSYC, SOWK, LIBA, BSNS, CRIM, PUBH, & NAMS  (86 completed Student Evaluation Forms)
  10. Consultation with Rutgers faculty in Newark with IPE focus of their curricula
  11. Tracked peer reviewed presentations & publications during 2017-2018 ‘AY; served as resource for multiple scholarly projects in various phases of development; Dissemination of IPE Initiatives at Stockton University during 2016 – 2017 (See Appendix):
    1. 2 Peer reviewed publications
    2. 3 additional manuscript submissions planned during Summer 2017
    3. 7 National peer reviewed presentations
    4. 9 International peer reviewed presentations

  4. Logo design competition – student clubs to design “IPE logo”; coordinate with combined student clubs panel discussion
  5. IPE Bootcamp – will include more networking & planning time for faculty; 1/9/17 in G137
  6. Intergenerational IPE Event – 4/7/18
  7. Regional Conference – invite external academic and clinical partners; 5/18/18, from 8:30-12; CC Theater and meeting rooms 1, 2, & 5
