Galloway Township, NJ The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey will host its Annual Ida E. King Lecture, titled Gentle Heroism: Jewish Womens Responses to Nazi Brutality. The event will be presented by Dr. Myra Goldenberg on Thursday, November 10, 2005 at 7:30 p.m., and will take place on the second floor of Stocktons library (E-wing) adjacent to the Holocaust Resource Center.

 

The lecture is free and open to the public. For New Jersey educators, 1.5 professional development hours are available.

 

This event is a reflection on the occasion of the 67th anniversary of Kristallnacht (The Night of the Broken Glass), November 9-10 1938, the state sponsored destruction of Jewish businesses, homes, and places of worship throughout Germany and Austria.
