Although the Blackboard Learning system is heavily used on campus – at last count 65% of faculty members use some component of Blackboard in their course sections – the Blackboard system can be overwhelming. Fortunately, Blackboard is very flexible. You can use just the features that you need and ignore the rest. These on demand videos will give you a solid foundation. Blackboard Collaborate

Blackboard Collaborate is both a synchronous and asynchronous web-based tool for online classes and meetings. It supports audio, video, application sharing, polling, whiteboard, and content display, enabling and promotes live interaction between instructors and students in the online setting. In addition to instruction it can be used for office hours and guest lectures. Live sessions can also be recorded as webcasts for later viewing. This seminar reviews the various options available for communicating with your students and making instructional materials available in the event that face to face instruction is disrupted by instructor or student illness.
