Jose Morales

Class of 2028
Major: Business Administration
Hometown: Pleasantville, New Jersey

Why did you choose Stockton?

I chose Stockton because it’s close to home in New Jersey, and I’ve always heard great things about the university growing up. What really sealed the deal was how veteran-friendly the campus is. From the first time I visited, I felt welcomed and supported.

How did you choose your major?

I’ve always been drawn to leadership and teamwork, and I wanted a degree that would let me build on that. Business Administration with a concentration in Management felt like the right fit because it opens doors to a variety of paths, especially in fields like supply chain, where organization and strategic decision-making matter.

What opportunities has Stockton provided you?

Stockton has offered a safe and inclusive learning environment where I feel comfortable asking for help and growing academically. The professors genuinely care, and the staff always step up when students need guidance. I’ve also benefited from career development workshops, networking events and hands-on leadership initiatives that have shaped my college experience

What advice do you have for students thinking about attending Stockton?

At Stockton you will have the opportunity to explore your curiosities about the world around you, your perspectives and insights will be valued, and you will be supported by your professors. I would also highly recommend taking classes outside of your comfort zone, like I did with archaeology, as you may find a new spark within.

What clubs and activities are you involved with?

I’m actively involved in Los Latinos Unidos, Caribbean Students Association and Military Affiliated Students of Stockton. Each group has helped me connect with peers, build community and engage in campus events. Also, a quick shout-out to all Greek life at Stockton, your energy and spirit really bring the campus to life!

What are your career goals?

My goal is to develop a career in supply chain management. I want a role that combines strategy, efficiency and leadership so I can make a positive impact on how businesses operate.

How has Stockton’s Military & Veteran Success Center helped you succeed?

Stockton’s Military & Veteran Success Center has been a vital part of my support system. They’ve connected me with state-based resources and opportunities outside of school that I wouldn’t have known about otherwise. It’s also a space where veterans are understood, and that kind of environment makes a real difference. Whether I need a quiet place to focus or just a sense of community, the center has played a big role in keeping me grounded and on track academically.
