Housing Internet
Students living on campus have two different ways to get connected to our network. WiFi is available on campus via Stockton's Wireless Network. Alternatively, access to the Universities wired Local Area Network (LAN) is accessible in residential housing. The wired connection will provide a very fast access to the Internet but requires that your computer or device has an accessible network jack.
Wireless Network Access
To access the Universities Wireless network, please follow the steps detailed on our
website for accessing our Wireless Network. Our Stockton-Secure-WiFi supports most modern wireless devices. For devices that
aren't able to support connecting to Stockton-Secure-WiFi, you can register the device
with our network at Netreg.Stockton.edu and connect to the Stockton-WiFi. Please be aware that some devices, like smart home,
wireless printers, and IoT devices are designed for a consumer home network and may
not connect or perform well on our network. If you have any specific questions about
connecting your device to our network, please contact the ITS Help Desk for support.
Wired (LAN) Network Access
To connect to our wired network (LAN), you'll need to first register your device with
our network at Netreg.Stockton.edu. Instructions on how to register your device with our network can be found on our
Wireless Network page. Once registered, you can plug your device into an available network jack in
your room and receive an internet connection.
Residents in Atlantic City have a wired network jack installed per resident, along with an additional communal jack in the shared living area in the room. Every available jack in the residential area is available for use so long as your device is registered with our network via Netreg.Stockton.edu. For residents in Galloway, network jacks have a very specific arrangement and operation may vary depending on your specific location. Details about housing 1 through 5 wired network access are detailed in the diagram below. If you have any specific questions about connecting your device to our network, please contact the ITS Help Desk for support.
