Greetings Stockton University Class of 2020!
We are excited to announce plans to hold our 2020 Commencement Ceremonies on Friday, October 23, 2020, at the Galloway Campus.
Due to current physical distancing guidelines and state-mandated capacity limits (maximum 500) the University will offer multiple ceremonies. All Graduates who have pre-ordered regalia will be sent an RSVP link to their email address in early August to confirm their intent to participate. The start time for each ceremony will be determined by the number of RSVPs received and announced by September 1, 2020. Graduates will be assigned to a ceremony by school.
The following ceremony elements are likely, but subject to change:
An outdoor setting for up to 150 graduates will include Baccalaureate, Masters and Doctoral graduates. Each graduate will be seated six feet apart.
Limit of two guests per graduate (includes children seated on laps or in strollers). Guests will be seated individually or in (family) pairs, six feet apart from other guests. Guest tickets will be emailed to graduates that RSVP. No additional tickets will be provided due to state-mandated event capacity limits.
Approximate 60 minute program duration including graduates being recognized crossing the stage. Due to physical distancing requirements, Doctoral and Masters graduates will hood themselves prior to the ceremony.
Live web-streaming available from Stockton.edu/commencement.
Face covering required for all graduates, guests, faculty, and staff.
Compliance with current state and institutional health and safety guidelines regarding capacity, personal protective equipment, and sanitation.
Rain date of Saturday, October 24
Pre-ordered regalia is required for participation in the ceremony.
PLEASE NOTE: The Spring 2020 Commencement Ceremonies, scheduled for October 23, 2020, are for graduates who were previously approved to walk in the May 2020 ceremony only.
