Dr. Marty Wygmans brings more than 30 years of experience in higher education, grounded in a deep commitment to student success and cross-institutional collaboration. She holds an Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration from The George Washington University, along with an M.A. in Agency Counseling and a B.A. in Business Administration from Siena Heights University in Adrian, Michigan.

From 2018 to 2020, Dr. Wygmans served at Bloomsburg University in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, as Associate Vice President for Student Success. Following the consolidation of Bloomsburg, Lock Haven, and Mansfield Universities at the end of 2020, she was appointed Vice President for Student Success and Campus Life at the newly formed Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania. In this executive role, she led a team of approximately 140 professionals delivering comprehensive support to undergraduate and graduate students across three campuses. Her leadership portfolio has included strategic planning, advancing student persistence and graduation, and strengthening success outcomes for underrepresented and at-risk populations.

Prior to her work at Bloomsburg and Commonwealth, Dr. Wygmans spent 14 years at Binghamton University in Binghamton, New York as the Executive Director of Student Services where she oversaw a broad array of student support services. These included TRIO Programs, Veterans Services, Orientation and First-Year Programs, Discovery Academic Programs, and Academic Alert initiatives.

A higher education leader with one foot in policy and one in practice, Marty Wygmans keeps both eyes firmly on outcomes that matter most for students.
