Winter 2026 in the Writing Center
We're available for online, by-appointment sessions!
Peer writers will be available for online, by-appointment sessions from Thursday,
December 18th, to Friday, January 16th. Sessions can be booked through Ospreys Navigate. A video with detailed instructions on how to book a session appears below.
Some considerations
- Please note that all Winter Term writing sessions will be held online only, by appointment only. There will be no in-person availability during this time. We encourage you to come back and write with us in J105 during the spring 2026 semester, though!
- As much as possible, please book your sessions at least one business day in advance to give the peer writers time to prepare.
- If you have to cancel an appointment, we understand. Please do so as soon as you know you'll have to cancel. A video showing you how to cancel an appointment is available below.
- Available appointment times will appear once Winter Term has started (Thursday, December 18th). If you check Ospreys Navigate before then, you won't see any Winter Term availability.
- If you are running behind to a scheduled appointment, please note that peer writers will wait twenty minutes beyond your scheduled start time. If you are more than twenty minutes behind, you will need to schedule another appointment.
- As always, come early in the writing process. Rather than waiting until you've completed a draft, book a session to talk with us about your ideas, and then book another session once you've drafted just a bit.
- Sessions can be booked by the hour (detailed availability is available on Ospreys Navigate). If you are working on something small or just have a few quick things to talk about, you are welcome to take less than an hour. If you are working on something larger or have a number of questions that might take more than an hour to talk through, please do not book back-to-back sessions. Instead, we encourage you to book a followup for another day, after you have had some time following your first session to consider the peer writer's feedback and potentially make revisions.
- Appointments will not be available from Wednesday, December 24th, through Thursday, January 1st.
