Stockton Community Day - Atlantic City
On behalf of Stockton University, we would like to thank you all for your contributions to Stockton's Community Day Cleanup and Party in the Park on April 22, 2023.
The Community Day Cleanup included over 700 volunteers, representing over 70 community groups and organizations, participating in 10 city-wide cleanup/beautification projects. With your help, we collected 279 bags of trash totaling over 10 tons of debris removed from the streets and beaches throughout all 6 Wards in Atlantic City.
Additionally, we estimate we had upwards of 1,000 people enjoy the Party in O’Donnell Park. The 60 vendors and 6 food operators were very pleased with the crowd and the overall engagement.
Special thanks to the City of Atlantic City, ACUA, and CRDA/SID for their cooperation in the planning of the event, including providing cleanup tools and supplies for volunteers. I also want to acknowledge the Ward Civic Associations, and Community EDCs for collaborating with Stockton to plan this impactful day.
We can all feel great pride in what we accomplished and in our unified commitment to beautifying our unique neighborhoods in Atlantic City.
Thank you again for partnering with us and we hope you choose to participate again next year!
