Center for Public Safety and SecurityThe Center for Public Safety and Security at Stockton University is an academic initiative in partnership with our State's public safety and security sectors. It is dedicated to provide training, consulting, and resources that support professional excellence throughout the industry.

The Center is committed to fostering a collective culture of professionalism, purpose, and doctrine across all disciplines responsible for the safety and security of the State's citizenry. Working with our partners to conduct research and deliver training, the Center leverages the resources of Stockton University to enhance the capabilities, professional development, and investment in our State's public safety apparatus.

Certificate in Financial Crimes Investigations

The October 2018 Certificate in Financial Crimes Investigations classes are cancelled.

This four (4) day session certificate was designed and will be delivered by Mark Malinowski, MS, CFE, CAMS from Framework Financial, LLC. Mr. Malinowski has over 18 years of financial crimes investigation experience while working in the banking industry and as a Sergeant with the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office Economic Crimes Unit. You do NOT need to take the classes in any particular order.

Certificate in Public Safety Liability Mitigation

This four (4) session certificate utilizes real world subject matter experts to expose today's public safety personnel to the ever increasing threat of civil litigation. The instructors incorporate lessons learned and risk management strategies to stress upon the attendees the importance of proactive planning, policy development and supervision to minimize the threat of civil litigation and costly settlements. Choose 4 of the 6 courses below to complete the certificate. You do NOT need to take the classes in any particular order.

Public Safety Professional Development Certificate

Developed by the Rodgers group, LLC, in cooperation with the Center for Public Safety and Security at Stockton University for the Monmouth County Joint Insurance Fund. The focus is contemporary public employee management issues where significant liability exists for failing to properly train personal.
