Cancer: Thriving and Surviving

A free six-week interactive support workshop developed by Stanford University for cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers. This workshop focuses on building skills to manage the physical and emotional challenges of cancer while fostering support and connection.

• Techniques to deal with fatigue, pain, isolation, trouble sleeping and living with uncertainty
• Setting priorities and goal-setting
• Nutrition, fitness and maintaining lifestyle changes
• Communicating effectively with family friends and healthcare professionals

Research Study: Aging Over The Rainbow

Stockton’s Lifespan-REACT Lab and SHINE Lab are collaboratively looking for participants for a paid research study examining how stressors and resilience factors shape the health and wellbeing of older sexual minority (lesbian, gay, bisexual) adults.

This study involves a one-time 30-minute online survey.

You will be asked to complete questionnaires about stress, discrimination experiences, coping behaviors, social circles, diet, and alcohol use.

Compensation: $10 Amazon e-gift card

To participate you must:

● Be 65 years of age or older

● Identify as a lesbian/bisexual/gay/queer/nonheterosexual (LGB) person

● Reside in the United States

● Have access to the internet

Your participation in the project is completely confidential!

We are looking for patterns across all participants and not the performance of any one participant. All results will be reported for the overall dataset and no individual data will be reported.
