Ms. Najmah Laing
Najmah Laing, a sophomore majoring in Social Work is a Student Senator serving on the Diversity and Inclusion Committee, where she works to amplify the voices and experiences of Stockton’s diverse student body. She is also a Residential Assistant (RA) for freshman housing, providing guidance and support to first-year students as they transition into college life. Dedicated to fostering community and engagement on campus, Najmah serves as President of the Muslim Student Association and as Secretary for Stockton’s Entertainment Team, helping organize events that bring students together. Beyond her leadership roles, Najmah is deeply committed to advocacy, representation, and service. With a passion for uplifting underserved communities, she plans to pursue a career in the social work field, focusing on helping individuals and families access the resources and support they need to thrive. Her vision is to combine her leadership experience, cultural awareness, and commitment to equity to make a meaningful impact in people’s lives.
As a Student Trustee, Najmah will serve on the Board of Trustees Advancement Committee and Student Success Committees, bringing forward student perspectives and working toward initiatives that enhance the overall Stockton experience while championing inclusion and student well being.
