Application of Program
The Work First New Jersey Program is a free program that is designed to assist individuals who participate in public assistance and need to develop job training skills to gain long term employment. Participants will commit to 30 hours a week to do volunteer work in a community organization and participate in on-the-job training workshops. The program aims to help individuals with digital literacy, financial planning, GED preparation, soft skill training, and resume building.
Eligibility Requirements: Open to Atlantic County residents who are enrolled in General Assistance (GA), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), or the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). Participants must be 18 years or older and able to work.
