Educational Opportunity Fund

Established in 1968, the New Jersey Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) was created to expand access to higher education for motivated students from economically and educationally disadvantaged backgrounds. EOF is rooted in the belief that talent is everywhere and opportunity should be too.

At Stockton University, EOF supports low‑income New Jersey residents who have the ability and drive to succeed but may need additional academic, financial, and personal support. Through intensive advising, tutoring, financial assistance, and a strong network of support, EOF helps students build the confidence and skills needed to thrive in college.

All first‑year, full‑time EOF students participate in a five‑week residential Summer Academy, supported by the Office of the Secretary of Higher Education and Stockton University. This transformative experience prepares students academically, socially, and emotionally for the demands of college life before the fall semester even begins.

EOF is committed to helping students persist, graduate, and lead. By combining innovative educational programs, leadership development, and financial support, EOF works to make college more affordable and to ensure students are supported every step of the way from enrollment through degree completion.
