The School of Health Sciences is home to four undergraduate majors, two minors and six graduate programs. Our undergraduate programs prepare students to pursue graduate study in clinical disciplines including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and communications disorders (speech therapy), as well as non-clinical programs such as public health, exercise science, and healthcare administration. Our interdisciplinary curriculum will provide you with opportunities to learn across disciplines.

Health Science (BSHS)

This program offers students who are interested in careers in health care the opportunity to begin their career path.  The curriculum is based on the Core Competencies for Interpersonal Collaborative Practice (IPEC).

Exercise Science (EXSC)

This program  includes interdisciplinary training in academic areas such as exercise physiology, nutrition, biomechanics, strength training, fitness assessment, exercise prescription, and anatomy and physiology.

Nursing - Prelicensure BSN

This entry-level, generic baccalaureate Nursing Program (BSN) is designed for the student who wishes to become a registered nurse (RN) while completing the Bachelor of Science in nursing degree.

Nursing - Accelerated BSN

This accelerated, generic baccalaureate Nursing Program (BSN) is designed for the student who has an earned baccalaureate degree or higher in another discipline who wishes to become a registered nurse (RN) with a Bachelor of Science in nursing degree.

Stockton University Simulation Center 

Simulation Suite

The Stockton University Simulation Center uses health care simulation as an instructional methodology to promote learning in a clinically safe environment. Formative and summative assessment occurs under the mentorship of faculty.

The 3,500 square foot simulation center incorporates computerized human mannequins and live patient actors to promote a lifelike clinical experience. The center includes a:

  • medical / surgical patient suite
  • labor and delivery suite
  • intensive care suite
  • exam rooms
  • pre- and post-conference rooms
  • and a 40-seat simulation Anatomage Classroom

Anatomage is a 3D medical interactive table allowing for human anatomy examination, education, patient diagnosis, and dynamic presentations.

Many prospective undergraduate students want to know about opportunities for graduate study. The links below provide information about our graduate programs. It is important to note that students are not able to apply for graduate programs until they are nearing undergraduate graduation.


Graduate Programs

Master of Science in Communication Disorders (MSCD)

This program prepares students for New Jersey Licensure and for certification by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association in speech-language pathology, as well as for certification as Speech-Language Specialists by the New Jersey Department of Education. 

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)

This program is designed for the baccalaureate-prepared registered nurse (R.N.) who wishes to pursue a graduate degree with eligibility for specialty certification as an Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP). 

Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MSOT)

Occupational therapy is a dynamic health care profession that can provide you with a personally satisfying career.

Nursing - Post-Master's Certificate Programs

A post-master's certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) is available through this program.
